To Quote From Spamalot...
"I'm not dead!"
Being a full time maker has it's ups and downs. If you're not going full bore making stuff for a show, you're recovering from said show, cleaning up and trying to tell your dog that you didn't mean to neglect him!
I have a very understanding dachshund.
I have been doing shows almost every month, participating in two that I haven't done before. I didn't get into one of my usual shows, which left me quite disappointed...but that's the nature of the beast. I have one more in August, a three day con which is one of the biggest anime shows on the West Coast.
Then it is Q4 which means it's time to prepare for CHRISTMAS!!! Onlin
Good Gravy!!! A Submission!!!
This took waaaay longer than it should. But my boys finally got some action!
News and stuff
Well here we are one month into the new year. It's been an odd month; had a cold, which, after the ongoing plowing ahead of the last show I had, is not a surprise. I didn't sleep much, and there were a lot of coughing people at Make It.
We also had our dog,Rueben, fixed. So much of The middle of the month was making sure he behaved himself as far as the incision went, and that he didn't chew on anything. He had a rogue baby tooth pulled. So not only was he frustrated at having to wear the cone of shame, he was bored.
Sleeping with the cone was not going to happen, so at the suggestion of another dog owner, we used a baby onesie (see pictures
Best Wishes
Merry Christmas,Happy Holidays, Happy Winter Solstice, Happy (belated) Hannukah.
Whatever you celebrate, I wish you all the best of the season, and a glorious, creative, character-driven, muse-marching 2019.

Both of us can relate to characters wanting to be drawn at the most inappropriate times. Stephane, Philippe and the rest of our babies, for instance, love to pester me during finals week. It never occurs when I'm seeing patients, but afterwards they are probably more exhausted than I am because they just don't cooperate.
It's a shame that your own boys have done the same without any writing utensils present-- you tend to forget quite a bit when cleaning a wall of stemware, and most workplaces don't particularly permit people to stop what they are doing and write down that conversation lest they forget.
Stress really is when your creativity shines the most, and hopefully your life circumstances will allow you to play with Martin and Tymr
